Well my commitment to this blog waned very quickly I'm afraid. Honestly, though, there really hasn't been much new to report. Looking back, I personally only had 2 or 3 sets of aligners that cause any discomfort. I wouldn't even call it pain really, more of a nuisance that was easily knocked out with a couple of OTC painkillers and never lasted more than a day.
I'm on my very last set of aligners now, and down to four attachments. I did end up getting refinements, a set of 14 which put me very close to what the orthodontist originally predicted. My teeth looked just fine after the initial set, but I decided to do refinements because my bite didn't feel right. I made the right choice because my bite feels much better now. It's not perfect, because my back teeth don't really touch, but I'm told that once you stop wearing the aligners full time, that will correct itself.
I go back to the ortho November 8 to get the impressions done for retainers. I've decided to go the Essex.
